The rise of the altrocentric The leaders and managers of the future will need to be ‘altrocentric’. Altrocentric individuals focus primarily on others, seeing themselves as part of a greater whole. They treat people as individuals. They display empathy, adaptability and emotional self-awareness – all of which depend on emotional intelligence.
